Prof. Dr. Aravindan Nair M.S., M.N.A.M.S. retired as Head, Dept. of Endocrine Surgery, Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore. He is Emeritus Professor of Surgery, Dr. M. G. R. Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He was responsible for establishing Endocrine Surgery as a separate sub-specialty for the first time in our country. His special areas of interest are Breast and Endocrine Surgery and General Surgery. In addition to being a distinguished surgeon, he is known for his dedication as a teacher.
